The weather let us down badly as the forecast was optimistic and we bought too much food. The rainy morning was so off-putting that we did not rig up the keg of beer that we had been given.
However, from 3 till 6 it was an idyllic scene: sunshine, keen cricket and a small crowd enjoying strawberries and champagne.
The trophy and medals presentation was quite moving : the players were proud and delighted.
We made about 500e and many new friends.
We also learnt a new word ” shabaa” means : “ bravo” in urdu (or pashtoun)!
